The Beatles
The Beatles were one of the most famous rock bands to come out of England.
They started out as The Quarrymen, a group formed by John Lennon, in 1957. After a
brief spell as The Silver Beetles, they settled on the name The Beatles before leaving for Hamburg in 1960.
Although John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison we're in the band from 1958, it wasn't until Pete Best
was sacked in 1963 that the line-up included Ringo Starr.
